Family memories converge at Salisbury Infirmary
For Bob O’Toole’s parents Salisbury Infirmary held special memories. He tells us: ‘The photo above, taken in the Salisbury area shows my dad, John O’Toole, at the front of the stretcher. The patient is the jockey Sir Gordon Richards. My mum’s name was Winifred Rowden, known as Joyce, and this photo below shows her when she was a doctor’s maid at Salisbury Infirmary in the early 1940s. Mum and Dad met at the Infirmary in 1942.’
