Longford Castle

Longford Castle has been home to the Earls of Radnor since 1765 and their long-term commitment to supporting healthcare in Salisbury stretches back as far as this. Read more about Earl and Lady Radnor’s support for the hospital.

In the Second World War General Mark Clark made his Headquarters at Longford Castle. Whilst the army were at Odstock, it was said of the General “that every time a door is opened he expects to see an armoured knight come clanking towards him.”
