Article describing how female non-clinical staff can now wear trousers to work

Trousers allowed

New rules for female hospital staff came into effect in May 1974, as they were now allowed to wear trousers to work. Such a big change to ‘keep up with the times’ warranted an article in the Salisbury Journal. However this did not apply to nursing staff and the article was signed off ‘Florence Nightingale can rest easy in her grave after all.’
