In your bones
What do you know about the bones inside your body?
We often think about diseases and illness but rarely consider our skeletal structure. We are working in collaboration with Claire Elizabeth Clarkin from the Skeletal and Developmental Biology research group at University of Southampton to share our archives in new ways. Click on the links below to explore the hospital’s historic collections that relate to all things bones, their function and science used to study them.
Further activities and archives to explore:
- Find out Why there is an Egyptian mummy in our collections and what the bones tell us
- Read more about X-rays in our historic collections
